This is our original polyethylene water-ballast barricade designed to delineate runways and airfield construction zones. Meets requirements of FAA-Advisory Circular 150/5370-2E. Empty weight - 30 lbs., 340 lbs. with full water ballast, 432 sq. inches orange and white striped reflective material per side. Both the AR10x96 HDPE replaces railroad-tie fabrications and other home-made runway barricades. FOD free, jet blast tested, light and stanchion compatible. Stackable and easy to ship and store. The CO1 is intended to be used in conjunction with the collapsible AR10x96 HDPE SPN barricade on nonmovement and movement areas of airport construction sites abiding by current guidelines of FAA Airport Circular 150/5370-2E which states for movement areas (3-8 d. Hazard marking and lighting) "During reduced visibilty or night hours, supplement the barricades with red lights, either flashing or steady burning (implemented by October 1, 2004)." In movement areas, the same advisory circular (3-8 e. Hazard marking and lighting) also states the use of "...Omni directional red lights either flashing or steady-burning, (implemented by October 1, 2004), collapsible barricades, and/or signs to separate all construction/maintenance areas from the movement area." AC 150/5370-2E also states that "...major taxiway/runway intersections be identified with barricades spaced no greater than 20 feet (6m) apart. Mark the barricades with a red flashing light."

Our new integral design requires no additional hardware or parts. This Hi-Density Polyethylene water-ballast barricade also meets requirements of FAA-Advisory Circular 150/5370-2E. Empty weight 28 lbs., 260 lbs. with full water ballast, 432 sq. inches orange and white striped reflective material applied to a 3° sloped recess per side. Patented connector allows barricades to be physically bolted together to form a jet blast resistant wall and can be positioned in various angles up to 35° to prevent jet blast induced movement around corners. Low-profile barricade replaces railroad-tie fabrications and other homemade runway barricades. FOD free, jet blast tested, light and stanchion compatible. Stackable and easy to ship and store. Can be ordered with or without reflective sheeting, either one side or two, and/or solar powered red flashing light. Approved by FAA for purchase with AIP funds.
