Utility
FlexStake FH can be flexed in any direction without damage. When the post is bent over and released, the memory in the flexible hinge slowly returns the post to its original upright position. However, the hinge is so supple that a fireman can easily bend the post out of the way to access the operating nut and steam and port caps. Hoses do not becorne entangled or cut as they do with posts made of wood, fiberglass or steel.
Design
FlexStake FH puts safety first. The hollow Bayer configuration extrusion is securely closed at the top to keep out foreign objects. The mounting bracket and post end are rounded to prevent injury to children, pets, and fire hoses. As an additional safety measure, the hinge return action is slowed so that the post cannot be used as a whip or catapult. The post is highly visible, fade resistant and virtually indestructible in normal use.
Versatility
FlexStake FH is an all weather product. Operating temperature is from extreme heat to extreme cold. Color impregnated polycarbonate is very strong and resistant to UV damage. The post will remain sturdy and color-bright for many years. Standard colors are: White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Brown, and Gray. Reflective tape and Hydrant Decals are moderately priced optional extras.
Vandal Resistant
FlexStake FH, properly installed, is impossible to remove by hand, and difficult to break. Steel or fiberglass posts can be totally destroyed when bent 90 degrees and can become dangerous safety hazards. Our posts can be flexed thousands of times and remain serviceable.
