GENERAL DESCRIPTIQN
Narrow aspect FlexStake' GS exceeds the 22 degree light cutoff required by all state and federal agencies and it is the most economically priced. GS is a track-mounted line of closely spaced, high-impact paddles. Only 3" wide, GS paddles do not protrude beyond the barrier so the likelihood of being hit by traffic is minimal. GS is the only glare screen on the market available in three heights: 18", 24", and 36". Mounting rails are available in both ten and twelve foot lengths.
DURABILITY
Thanks to our patented paddle, FlexStake GS can withstand vehicular impacts at highway speeds. Using the same hi-impact extrusion as our highway delineators GS can take repeated impacts at 35mph, 55mph, and even 80mph. Our posts typically withstand 75 or more automotive impacts at 55mph. In certified A-B tests, our posts have outlasted every other delineator on the market by an incredible margin. Certified test reports and videos of FlexStake GS undergoing rigorous on site testing are available to qualified agencies upon request.
CONSTRUCTION
GS is all plastic. Paddle and rail are extruded out of impact-resistant, Wstabilized, color impregnated, virgin polycarbonate. Recycled, postconsumer plastics are used where their lesser strength does not negatively impact product life or performance.
AESTHETICS
Beauty is often overlooked by designers of highway safety products and rightfully so. Safety devices should have high visibility, but not glare screens. A glare screen should not distract a driver in any way. Neat, clean and very unobtrusive, GS just looks like part of the barrier. Paddles are stocked in Green, but any color paddle can be extruded on special order.
POP-AND-GO
FlexStake GS is a quick construct popand-go assembly. A fully assembled 12 ft. rail weighs only 13 Ibs. Rail sections should be popped together off-road and carried to the barrier for mounting (GS requires only four mounting bolts per 12 foot rail). This two-stage installation system reduces the time workers are exposed to traffic. GS rails may be mounted on steel concrete, brick, wood or any other hard surface.
POP-AND-GO REPAIR
Though quite hi-tech, FlexStake GS is a simple, four part device made up of paddles, bases, lock-pins, and mounting rails. In the unlikely event that a paddle or base is damaged, either can be quickly replaced.
