CAPABILITIES
Though suitable as a multi-purpose traffic delineator, FlexStake TM was especially designed as a hi-impact channelizer for sites where traffic from side streets would he merging with traffic in a thoroughfare. The TM is an impact-resistant surface mounted post that has all the advantages of the internationally acclaimed FlexStake SM, plus an enhanced 360 degree visibility.
UTILITY
With a base height of only 1 9/16', our surface-munt is the lowest and safest on the market. The TM Channelizer may be mounted on concrete, asphalt, or to the FlexStake FlatFoot (FlatFoot is a portable base that stays where you put it, even when the marker is hit repeatedly at 55mph).
For channelization in sand, dirt or loose rock, the FlexStake TMG (tubular ground mouunt) is the post of choice.
DURABlLITY
Thanks to our patented hinge, when FkexStake TMs are used for channelization only 5 percent to 10 percent may ever need replacing ( Other posts can experience up to 100 percent failure within a few days. Our stakes take repeated vehicular impacts at 35mph, 55mph and even 80mph. They typically withstand 75 or more vehicular impacts at S55mph. In certified A-B comparison tests our posts have outlasted every other delineator on the market by a considerable margin.
CONSTRUCTION
To retain FlexStakes' reputation for durability, our engineers have developed a whole new plastic for the TM post.
The TM hinge and base are of the same basic design as that of the highly regarded FkexStake SM, however the hinye has been beefed up to cany the additional weight and stress of the heavier tubular post.
The post is an impact-resistant color-impregnated special polymer extrusion that has been UV-stabilized. The post section is fitted over an internal stiffener which in turn is joined to a unique, UV-stabilized flexible hinge. The hinge is then attached to a standard SM surface mount. The mount is a molded assembly of polycarbonate regrind.
The post, inner core and base are all of various recycled, post-consumer plastics. In fact, over 75 percent (by weight) of Flex-Stake TM is of post-consumer plastics!
